Cobaea Scandens
May be grown from seed. You can also root softwood cuttings in the summer. It will bloom from the middle of the summer until fall. Purple in color and is fragrant.
Some questions from Emily's mailbox:
Q: I have a few questions about the "cup and
saucer" vine? Is it a messy vine? Good if you have a pool?
Does it go dormant in the winter? A: It is a fast growing "untidy" vine that is good to be grown up a
pergola or a tree. Yes, I guess it is messy. Good for zones 9-11. For that
reason, in most of the country it is grown as an annual and replanted each
spring. |
