RUBINACEAE

PentasThese plants are great for a bed or border interests. they are mainly evergreen perennials, biennials, and even shrubs.

They do enjoy full sun.

If grown in a greenhouse, they will require filtered light and a rich soil mixture.

Softwood cuttings may be taken anytime of the year, but use bottom heat if done in the winter.

Pentas are pretty much trouble free, but do look out for aphids and spider mites.

Some varieties to enjoy are: 'California pink', 'California lavender', 'orchid star'.

A very easy plant to care for. Zones 10 - 12.
